South and West UK Sales Manager

As an exciting and vibrant outdoor sports company working across multiple disciplines and channels, we are recruiting for a like-minded field sales person to join our team. The role will involve selling to and managing retail clients across Ark’s exciting portfolio of brands; OMM, Nordisk, Yeti, Buff & Extreme Food.
Ideally, we are looking for a colleague with sales experience, preferably in the outdoor and or sports industry (other areas will be considered though), and a demonstrable depth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the ‘great outdoors’ and running.
- Supporting and growing sales to existing accounts.
- Generating new leads, securing new business.
- Training of staff in independent retailers and branches of national accounts.
- Efficient route planning, extensive territory travel.
- Reporting, budgeting and analysis.
- Attendance at UK and International Trade shows/events.
- Two or more years in a field sales position.
- Interest in and existing knowledge of running and or the ‘great outdoors’.
- Understanding of technical materials, products, applications and use thereof.
- Knowledge of and existing relationships with Ark’s retailer base.
- Sales, budgeting, planning.
- Training retail staff.
- Good verbal, written and numerical communication and analytical skills.
- Computer skills – Outlook and Excel.
- UK Driving license.
- Good presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work under own initiative.
