The Why Sports 2019 Conference will take an in-depth look into the UK’s ongoing inactivity challenge. Our speakers will reveal the uncomfortable truths which lead to a sedentary lifestyle whilst highlighting successful projects that are working to increase activity for all across our towns and cities.

The conference will also highlight the latest progress of the Sporting Future and Towards Active Nation strategies and the associated short and long term funding plans and activity agendas. In addition to their keynote presentation, Sport England will deliver three Workshops focusing on Children and Young People, Local Delivery and Health and Inactivity.

In addition, our speakers and industry partners will be on hand to network and share solutions in the areas of;

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Workforce strategy
  • Volunteering
  • Accessible facilities
  • Regeneration
  • Active Ageing
  • GP referrals and social prescribing
  • Workplace activity and movement solutions

The Why Sports 2019 Conference is the perfect platform to exchange plans and ideas whilst informing strategies and advancing agendas that promote better health through activity.
