Craghoppers is rallying behind ‘The World’s Big Sleep Out’ (TWBSO), a global event which will take place this Saturday 7th December. The event aims to highlight that homelessness is a global issue, uniting people around the world to raise awareness of the problem.

Most major cities across the globe are set to host a ‘Big Sleep Out’, inviting members of the public to sleep outside for one night only. Over 1,000,000 people are expected to take part, including celebrities such as Chris Martin who’s rumoured to be busking, Will Smith who will be reading a bedtime story in Times Square and Helen Mirren will be reading a bedtime story in London.

Craghoppers will be supporting the event in London by working with the official film crew of The Big Issue (G Media) who will be filming the event, interviewing celebrities and participants along the way.

Craghoppers Managing Director, Jim McNamara, said, “Craghoppers jumped at the chance to be part of such a brilliant event, promoting this important issue which affects so many people worldwide. As a family-run business, we do what we can to look after people – so when we heard about The World’s Big Sleep Out we didn’t think twice about getting involved.”

50% of the funds will go to charities helping homeless and displaced people on a global scale and 50% will go to charities helping rough sleepers in the local regions. For more information about the event, please contact Gill Russell or Jenny Carew
