Sports & Outdoor Leaders Forum

The recent Sports & Outdoor Leaders Forum took place in the spectacular surroundings of the Manchester Velodrome on the 28th November in the distinguished company of legendary GB cyclist and Olympic Champion Sir Chris Hoy MBE.

Following a coached session in the afternoon on the BMX track, delegates were able to participate in an interactive Q&A session during refreshments and dinner with Chris to gain valuable feedback on his unique experiences as one Britain’s most decorated athletes with six Olympic golds and one silver medal to his name!

Business leaders also benefitted from a networking opportunity and a presentation from British Cycling’s Director of Insight, Terry Greenwood, who provided interesting statistics about participation and the growth and development of the sport and recreational cycling in the UK.

Supported by the OIA, the Sports & Outdoor Leaders Forum is a networking opportunity aimed at senior management in the sports and outdoor sectors.  The group meets three times a year to hear from inspirational speakers on topical issues relevant to the industry.

Founder Tim Drake would be pleased to hear from anyone wishing to join the group and can be contacted on for more information about future events.
