The Big Christmas Give challenge it goes live on #GivingTuesday 1st December, for one week all donations we receive via the Big Give are doubled. One donation twice the impact. We’d love some help from the outdoor industry to promote it on social media during that week.
70kfor70 Headline Sponsor Opportunity
The Peak District National Park is the UK’s first National Park designated in 1951 after decades of campaigning, that love of the Park continues to grow. To mark this 70 year milestone The Peak District National Park Foundation in partnership with Peak Running has developed an epic 70k anniversary route showcasing the best of the Peak Districts varied landscapes. Starting at Edale and up onto Kinder, where it all began with the 1932 Mass Trespass, along many of the Edges including Stanage, through classic Peak District villages and into the White Peak and Dales including the iconic Monsal Viaduct.
Beyond the initial 70k event, the route will be promoted and become an iconic 70th anniversary route for people to run or walk in total or in shorter sections. Limited edition souvenir maps of the route, with information about the Peak District and the Foundation, will be available in National Park visitor centres and online. We’re promoting 10 x 7k routes across the Park for families and people that aren’t up for a 70k circular route. Runners/walkers of average ability can clock up 70k over the year by completing all 10 or just enjoy one or two of the 7k routes.
We’re looking for a headline sponsor for the 70k anniversary route, to cover the costs of a sustainably sourced wooden millstone medal and the limited edition souvenir map. The sponsor will benefit from exposure across the combined reach of the Foundation, The National Park Authority, Peak Running, Peak District Kids and Let’s Go Peak District social channels as well as branding on the medals and maps and lot of other PR opportunities to align your support to Peak District National Park brand.
