Kendal Mountain Film Summit

OIA Members are invited to attend the Kendal Mountain Film Summit.

Date: Friday 17th November, 1pm – 6pm with networking reception.

Venue: Kendal Town Hall

Now in it’s fourth year, the Kendal Mountain Film Summit has gained a reputation for a down-to-earth analysis of the current state of play in Adventure filmmaking, as a valid networking event and a chance to explore and develop new project via new connections. The Summit provides a real contribution to both the film & media Industry as well as connecting filmmakers with brands.

The 2017 Sessions:

  • Nat Geo explorer and filmmaker Ben Stookesberry, Red Bull filmmaker Jochen Schmoll (Into Twin Galaxies) hosted by C4/ITN Sports correspondent Keme Nzerem – discuss the move to athlete filmed stories and content reliability.
  • Vimeo Session; New York Staff Picks editor Ian Dorkin on the development of advertorial content; who is getting it right?
  • VR Session; Who in the industry is using VR and how?
  • Networking reception
  • Abandoned Playgrounds; Commissioning adventure for the mainstream.
  • A round the table discussion with All 4 (Ch4 On Demand) and Salt Street production company around the KMF facilitated commission of the 6 part series.
  • Pecha Kucha – 10 Industry leading filmmakers flick through their year at breakneck speed.
