78% of people plan to go camping more in 2022 according to survey

Camping is set to be more popular in 2022 than ever before according to a survey by outdoor brand, OLPRO.

The survey of 219 people found that 78% are planning to go camping more in 2022 than they did in 2021, while 18% expected to go camping the same amount as they did last year. Another finding from the survey is that 53% of people are going camping more now than they did in 2019, before the outbreak of Covid-19.

OLPRO designed the survey to look into customer trends and habits, as well as providing a general overview of the camping industry and what the future holds for the industry. The camping and outdoors industry has seen a huge surge in demand for products in recent years and figures from the survey are showing that this demand will continue throughout 2022 also, despite the increasing availability of international flights and holidays.

Daniel Walton, Founder of OLPRO said: “It’s great to see that the love for the outdoors is going from strength to strength. Last year was another record year for OLPRO, our website saw a 13% increase in sales and we’ve loved being able to provide people with the products that they need for a memorable outdoor adventure.

“This year we’ve got more stock than ever before, to ensure we’re ready for another very busy year.”
