2pm – Arrive at Carnegie School of Sport building (13 on map) Board Room, Light refreshments on arrival.

2:30 – 5pm – Introduction from Professor John O’Hara,

Followed by Tour of the facility by Professor John O’Hara and Dr Barney Wainwright.

Q&A session

6-7pm – Networking and Pre dinner drinks

7pm till late – Dinner in private bar at the Weetwood Hall, Woodlands Restaurant.

Outdoor Development Manager of Carnegie Great Outdoors (CGO), Leeds Beckett University, Carnegie School of Sport

Speaker / Mountaineer / Expedition Leader

Dave is a leading specialist with over 30 years of experience in the mountains. His expertise was developed serving in the Army’s Physical Training Corps leading people within the British Services, including extensive work with elite units such as the Special Air Service (SAS). With 14 Himalayan expeditions to some of the world’s highest peaks under his belt, he continues to organise and lead regular expeditions. He also uses his experience to deliver experiential leadership and team development programmes to a variety of clients ranging from universities to blue chip companies.

Blue Carpet Sports Management

Richard established Blue Carpet Sports Management in 2016, alongside long-term clients Alistair and Jonny Brownlee, having previously spent over 15 years working within the sports management industry. His experience in the industry has seen him manage athletes across five Olympic Games and numerous World Championships (in a variety of sports). He represents each of the triathletes, along with a wider group of Olympic athletes.

Tom Bosworth MBE

Two time Olympian

Tom is a two time Olympian, multiple World and British Record holding Race Walker, managing a highly successful international career both on and off the track spanning over 14 years. Away from the track he built a career within the media both in the written press and TV. He now manages track and field athletes, using his experience to support athletes in achieving their own sporting ambitions.
